Fresh cement and all…what’s next, a bike-thru window?

Right outside our showroom in Spokane, you can now safely lock up at our new customer bike rack. The City of Spokane has installed these racks at numerous businesses downtown, as part of an effort to boost greener travel in our city.

    What a great idea!
It is sort of hard to cart my kids the 12 miles or so on the back of my bike to and from…..I wish I could ride my bike more (I believe I have forgotten how…I know I forgot how much my tushie hurts when I do it!)
Greener ideas? Hmmmmm….packaging comes to mind. I am all for cushioning but bubble wrap? Maybe there is paper that could be wadded up and stuffed in the boxes? Or how about a refill program….get the beads in the baggies or a vial and return them to be refilled and get a little perk on your next order? That would be especially good if you used the same thing over and over….you could just refill it and resend it!
Thanks for getting me thinking again!
    Enjoy the day! Erin

I’m glad I asked, Erin, you’re full of good ideas. I hope more people will jump in here, because Rings & Things pays serious attention to your suggestions.

I’ll be footing my way over on Saturday morning so I won’t need the hitching post, but I love that you guys have this! What a great way to encourage alternative methods for getting to work. 🙂
    See you Saturday!!!

Right on, Sara, the walk to our warehouse can be very nice too. (Going along the Centennial Trail is a great way.)
