Chain Tassel and Hammered Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings

February 14, 2016

I love the combination of sterling silver hammered hoops and chain tassels. These new hammered sterling silver links are the perfect size to hang delicate silver plated chain from them. And because I used plated chain, instead of sterling chain, the project is fairly reasonably priced. See how to recreate these earrings below!

To make this project, you will need the following supplies and tools:

Optional: Use fine sterling silver cable chain and 22-gauge 5mm sterling silver jump rings instead of the chain listed above. It’s a little finer (thinner) than the chain used in these photos, but is a good trade if you want an all-sterling pair of earrings.

Now follow these easy steps below!

These earrings have 10 pieces of chain segments. The easiest way to get them all the same length is to cut one, then hang it from a headpin. Then use that one to measure each additional segment.

Measure and cut all 10 pieces of chain. I went about 2 inches per chain piece.

Attach the chain segments to the silver hoops with the sterling silver jump rings.

Attach 5 segments per hoop.

Repeat on the other silver hoop.

Add two sterling jump rings to the top of the silver hoop.

Then add two more jump rings to those two.

Attach the sterling silver earring wire to the top of the earring, through both jump rings.

Attach the other earring wire and ta-da! Your completed silver and tassel earrings!

Well I hope you liked this project as much as I did! These earrings are so much fun! ♥ Tiffany

Why post this when the 1st item is no longer in stock?
