How to make a “Piano Wire” Bracelet

July 22, 2021

Rings & Things’ spring wire bracelets aren’t piano wire. But if you don’t have a spare piano to tear apart, they are a perfect substitute. The 7″ spring bracelets are soft and slightly stretchy, making them super comfortable to wear. They are easily connected and do not require a clasp or the use of any tools. Use them individually or by the bundle; they are the perfect backdrop for beads and charms. Now, let’s make a “piano wire” bracelet!

Let’s make a bracelet~

Twist open a jump ring and attach a charm, then twist the jump ring securely closed.

Jump rings are easy to use once you know the trick–just open and close with a twisting motion.

The spring bracelets have a blunt end and a pointed end that connect and securely fit together. It is easiest to string items onto the pointy end.

Cluster the five spring bracelets with all the pointed ends together. Then string on three of the large-hole beads.

String on a charm and three more large-hole beads to complete the adornment.

Lay the clustered spring bracelets out on a flat surface; this is in preparation for connecting the springy wire bracelets.

Connecting the spring wire bracelets is easy; simply “backspin” before you screw the ends together. The bracelets stay together surprisingly well without a clasp. If they do come apart, join the ends again.

Connect the bracelets one by one. The hardest part is making sure the two ends you join are from the same spring wire. Keep connecting bracelets until all five are connected.
