For a long time I have kept my favorite jewelry component a secret. I didn’t want anyone to know about the magical crystal, the Bermuda Blue Teardrop. It is by far, my favorite Swarovski crystal. It is gorgeous, with fading shades of blue. I love it paired with copper, brass or silver. Especially when these finishes are antiqued. The blue color just really pops! I have decided I have kept it a secret too long….so I have made these earrings to share with you! I love the way the vibrant crystal pairs with the antique brass elements. Victorian Blue Earrings
Supplies needed

- Vintaj Square Filigree Connectors (not pictured here, seen in first photo)
Cut a piece of the wire about 18 inches in length. Make a bend in the wire at 3 inches.
String the crystal onto the wire, and slide the crystal to the bend in the wire.
Wrap the longer wire around the shorter wire to secure it.
Feed the wire out from your dominant hand and start to spin the crystal. As you are feeding the wire onto the crystal, move it in downward motion, laying each new layer of wire below the last wire.
Continue until you get about 1/3 of the way down the crystal.
Now you are going to “swoop” the longer wire back up to the top of the crystal. I like the look of the swoop, so I always put this detail on the front.
Secure the longer wire by wrapping it tightly around the shorter wire at the top.
Clip the longer wire with your flush cutters.
After you cut the wire, there will be a little tail that sticks out.
Use your chain nose pliers to pinch that tail down so that it doesn’t stick out.
Use your round nose pliers to make a loop at the top of the crystal with the shorter piece of wire. Wrap the wire around the top a few times in a downward motion.
Clip the excess wire on the back of the crystal. Pinch down any tail left behind with your chain nose pliers.
Repeat this on both crystals. These would be great as earrings as is, but I added jump rings to them so I could attach them to a filigree connector.
Attach the wire wrapped crystals to the Vintaj filigree connectors with a small antique brass jump ring.
Attach the earring wires to the top of the filigree pieces. I used the bronze niobium earring wires. I love them because the color matches my antique brass and antique copper designs, but they are also very good for sensitive ears.
