There's a contest going on. I read it in a blog, so it must be true!

The blogs say there’s a contest going on. Must be true!

That’d be this year’s R&T design contest, of course.

Have you gotten your entry ready? You’ve got until the end of this month!

How do I know all this? I read the blogs 🙂

Maneki says,

“Rings & Things tar emot bidrag till tidigare omnämnda tävlingen Your Designs Rock t o m 28 februari. Imorgon, 5 februari, är sista dagen att lämna in om du vill vara med i deras Early bird-drawing med chans att vinna goodiebags. Observera att de numer inte längre skjuter fram sista inlämningsdatum utan siste februari stĂĄr fast.”

Not to be outdone, Tammy Powley at About.com notes,

“Rings & Things’ Your Designs Rock competition is taking entries, and the deadline is coming up at the end of the month.”

And as if to prove her right, Adalea’s Designs has shared a super-fun necklace design that’s going to be entered in this year’s contest.

    Thanks for the mention. 🙂
I’m working on my entries right now, but knowing myself I will probably not be ready until the last day… And I keep having new ideas so I’m not sure exactly what I will enter with later this month. But I will enter — contests are always so much fun, whether you win a prize of not! If anyone is unsure about participating or not all I can say is: just do it, you won’t regret it!

It’s a good experience. Entering a contest can sometimes give you a new viewpoint on what people are looking for in jewelry…

I entered the Rings and Things contest for the first time- so I am a newcomer. Rings and Things states, watch the newsletter or Blog for results of the contest that will conclude the first of June. Would it be possible to tell folks, what happens next now that the contest has closed, such as, how many entries were entered into each category, what is the next step?, How may judges make up the panel, how are the judges selected?, what is the criteria used for the evaluation?, etc. Maybe you have done such a thing in the past, but being a newcomer I am curious how the process works.

      Hi Robert,
These are great questions, and I think it would be fun to blog the answers. So I’ll look into this for you!

Great! I’ve got R&T’s Melissa writing up a fun little report on this. Stay tuned 🙂
