November 24, 2015

The holidays are just around the corner and homemade gifts are always so fun to give! If you aren’t sure of your creative abilities, this project is for you! This is a great project for a first-time-make-your-own-gifts person. Plus this project features Swarovski crystals plus sterling silver chain and still costs you less than $20. Just think – you can make an item that would easily retail for $40 or more! Best part? You can make this necklace in under 5 minutes! Read on to see how!

Four simple items!

Materials needed:

Now follow these simple directions to make this necklace in 5 minutes!

Cut the chain in the center with wire cutters.

Attach the chain ends to the Swarovski pendant with sterling silver jump rings.

You can either use the spring ring clasp that came on the necklace, or you can remove it and attach the optional lobster clasp instead. I prefer lobster clasps, so I changed the clasp using pliers and jump rings.

Once you have the clasp you want on your necklace, you are done!

I hope you loved this simple, yet elegant necklace project! These would make great gifts and literally something like this from a retail store would cost over $40. If you want an item to give all your girlfriends or sisters for Christmas, this is it! Plus the pendants come in several color options, so you can make them all a little different.

Thanks and happy jewelry making!
