Use birthstone colors to make a quick and easy gift set for your mom, daughter or sister, or it can be a sweet no-fuss bridesmaid gift in your bridal colors. The project I selected is in Peridot (August’s Birthstone) and another example in Gold Patina, a popular new color and finish from Swarovski.
Suggested Supplies:
1 each Gold plated pinch bail (Prong Bail), 7mm, No Loop
1 each Gold plated Cobra chain necklace, 18″
1 each Heart Pendant, 14mm, Peridot
2 each Heart Pendant, 10mm, Peridot
2 each Gold plated pinch bail (Prong Bail), 4mm, Loop
2 each Gold Plated Leverback Ear Wire, Fleur-de-lis
Using your nylon jaw pliers take one of your pinch bails (with the loop) and pinch the bail into the hole of one of your 10mm crystals.
Repeat the same process for your 2nd crystal. The Nylon jaw pliers will help you get the bail closed without scratching your bail and crystal.
Next you will open the loops of your lever-back earrings and attach your crystal. Open these loops the same way you would a jump ring.
Now take your no loop pinch bail and slip it onto your chain.
Using your nylon jaw pliers, pinch the bail onto your 14mm crystal.
Now you have a finished set of jewelry for any occasion!
